Broken Social Scene - "Ibi Dreams Of Pavement" dir: George Vale
The latest from Vale (a friend of the band, and director or producer or dp or co-director, etc. behind videos for the likes of BSS, The Most Serene Republic, Stars, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Stills, DFA1979, etc.)
Hosting this myself now: --REMOVED AFTER 500+ HITS--
If someone has a working Yousendit link, please post that.

(Corrected for semantic clarity.)
the discreet charm of the underground resistance (or: this ain't no disco...)
now: am i going to watch that again?
Can someone repost this? It looks like the You sendit link is bad.
I actually like the video.
Yousendit link was up last night; the site is down right now.
First of all, Vale has never directed anything for the Stills or Death From above 1979..and he co directs all of these with Kevin from the band.
He has worked on videos with The Stills and DFA1979, along with a whole slew of other artists, in positions that have varied. I hate semantic arguments. For further information on Vale, visit his website; the URL is listed above. Kevin has varying degrees of input into BSS videos -- since I haven't talked to him for a few weeks, I don't know exactly what he had to do with this one.
That was horrible. Total amateur hour. Why do BSS make such awful videos?
excruciatingly bad. A statement on the military, wow, what brilliance! And flash frames, cool!! BSS is one of those bands that could rope in great directors/concepts on a limited budget. The only one of theirs I thought was good was the silhouette one.
There's really no proper way to treat this video; this song means so much to so many different people, so BSS just didn't try. I don't actually have a problem with that.
But yeah, Almost Crimes is a better video. Feist has the sweetest dance moves ever.
Does anyone know how to get into Vale's website at www.magnacyd.com or any other info on the George Vale/Kevin Drew 'Experimental Parachute' thing? I'm trying to write a paper on it... thanks.
