My new favorite band, first discovered here. New video with lots of quick cuts, contrasting colors, and an Asian chick doing an interpretive dance. Cute clip in my opinion.

heard the single - sounds ok...not really a band sound. Liking Arctic Monkeys Hard-fi & Ordinary Boys - much more raw. Maybe it sounds too perfect??? What about Protocol Unofficial site...WOW!!! Sort of makes sence now

hippi-chic - Protocol Unofficial (I'll link it for you, since you didn't seem to be able to) sounds like the bitter prose of an unceremoniously expelled band member if you ask me. (Or a friend of the ex with an axe to grind.) And the specific mention of Hard-fi (who I'd never heard till just now) by both you and that site gives me a few clues too...

I've long since given up searching only for elusive "authentic" music - what I like is what I like, be it pop-music or something from a truly tortured soul.

As it stands, I dig Protocol, manufactured or not. Catchy songs, good sound, fun music. Hard-fi sounds kind of cool too. Might have to dig into that more. Whatever.

Fruitfly - it's so good to actually be able to debate on 1 of these sites. Glad you agree with the Unofficial about there being ex members/line-up changing & I'm almost flattered...well sort of?? But being a girl does make it a little difficult. Can't believe you never heard of Hard-fi but then if you're not into proper bands.....by the way, Atomic Kitten has split up!!
