Good Weather for Airstrikes' Top 65 Music Videos
In my usual perusing of the blogosphere today I came across one of the best posts I've seen in a while: from Good Weather For Airstrikes, the "Top 65 Music Videos of 2005". Best of all, they're all available for download in MOV format (or M4V and MP4, everything's QuickTime compatible), so I'd recommend you guys all check it out.

they’ve also got lists of their favorite songs of 2005 (incl. mp3s) there — i could imagine that there’ll be some kind of heavy traffic over there in the next couple hours …
Ah, someone else can share the pleasure of not getting paid to do stuff like that. ;) Very nicely compiled, nice surprises (Hot Hot Heat, The Bravery!). I don't think there was a single rap video on there?
I think both sites made their picks straight out of Vice Mag and somehow they missed Chromeo.
They both missed so many vids. Guess its' all THEIR favs. Still. Nice of them to bother.
Why didn't this video get included in any list this year? It would have been the top of my list most likely.
Hi guys, I've been a visitor here for a long time and a member for the past month or so, and that's actually my list, I'm Derek and I run Good Weather For Airstrikes. Yeah, that was a beast to compile, and I'm glad you all took the time to check it out regardless of whether or not you agreed with my picks or not.
As for the glaring lack of hip-hop and rap, there was "a single rap video" (Gorillaz), but looking back I realize that I definitely should have had Saul William's "Black Stacey" on that list (though I can't find where to download that one anywhere, so I thusly forgot about it since it's not on my computer), but there aren't many hip-hop videos I can think of from 2005 worthy of a best of list (if you can think of any I'd love to check them out).
In regards to making all of my picks "straight out of Vice Mag", I'm an occasional visitor to the Vice Mag website, and I've never seen any features on music videos (though I'd really like to see it if you have a link), and I've only seen one Chromeo video from 2005 for "Rage" and wasn't all that impressed. But yes, it was all of OUR/MY favorite vids, but by no means did I see every single video that came out in 2005.
Anyways, glad you guys took the time to check out the list and I hope you guys will continue to visit the site on occassion.
