Wintergreen "When I wake Up" dir: Keith Schofield
New Keith Schofield video about E.T atari games!
erm, crummy tune, pretty unsightly video too - but who cares: you got boingboinged and robotwisdomed... (can digg&slashdot be far off...?)
I liked it. Quick and cute. Nothing groundbreaking, but who is to say you can't make a fun, easily consumable bit of fun? Kept me watching until the end, so the vid was successful.
what'd i say: you rustled digg and even waxy! tell it like it is: were you counting on this?
Keith is a clever chap.
And it is not unsightly. I guarantee this was extremely low budget but as far as how it was shot and cut, it's great. I think it's a really clever way to approach a no budget video that will live online: make one that caters to people who are dying for stuff like this. I don't think this could even be considered a music video in the broadcast sense. MTV4 or whoever is showing videos was never going to grab this one anyway.
Like I said, Keith is clever. And talented.
I really like this. Why? I like the song, I know that story like the back of my hand, and hell, I make video games for a living. So, if you don't like it, it's because THIS VIDEO WAS MADE FOR ME! Oh yeah, and it's entirely unpretentious and cute.
It's not unsightly Progosk. Screenhead got it right saying it was "pretty great". Really nicely done, great story, good fun. & the singer's adorable when he smiles (giggle).
And kudos to Keith for encoding it for both QT7 and QT6. These QT7 files are annoying.
Funny one!
