Bobby Conn - Never Get Ahead (Self Directed?)
I seem to remember a few years ago, this being quite high up in a few 'Worst Music Video' lists, seemingly oblivous to the fact that it was clearly intended to look ludicrously cheap and nasty. A fact that surely would of been realised had they actaully watched it before hand.
genius..........if this video had a casting then each person has been so beautifully chosen. This puts every video seen this year to shame simply because of the joy oozing from each frame........i want that adidas, i want that barnet, i want that song, i want everyone to see this video, especially the hype's and hunters and romaneks. This boogie nights if spike jonez ate sugar for a hour then decided to make the world at peace......x x

I always hated Bobby until after I saw this video. I bust out laughing every time I see it. His hair kills me. The chorus is actually "your never going to get ahead by giving head to the man" which he says once and then says he's sorry.
Song/singer is a micheal jackson tongue in cheeker. Way too hipster. Absolutely transparent. I imagine him on a mixtape with this guy:
AMORPH, the video and artist bother me. The posturing, the humor(?), is very false and very annoying. You want the A listers to peruse because of said video's "joy"?! But it's embarrassing at how petulant the piece feels at times.
This is from a local TV show in Chicago, so the cheapness is entirely just how it was recorded and aired. Totally a great performance in my opinion, though liike Ina I was never a fan of his music until I saw this.
