I don't know if the link's been changed since you left that comment, lusk, but it works for me. Posts weren't edited before, but a lot of that seems to have been going on lately and people tend to blame progosk for some reason. I'm not sure who's actually behind it, or why they just started doing it now. Also, great video. A bit of a change for Patrick Daughters I guess, but I think it's for the better.

all easy&light, and i guess that fits the tune and her kooky style. (loved the plant turning out the light.) still, hard to say whether i prefer it to george vale's earlier video for the same song. (let the comparisons begin!)ps: spy entertainment: you're trying too hard to hide those files. why kid yourself?
pps: the blame game here too? cui prodest?

This is so fun. Daughter's best yet. The plant was a nice touch.familiar, October 17, 2005 1:28:40 AM CEST
What's up with Fiest having these rad videos? And being so cute. And drawing accessories on herself. Uh-huh. George Vale works with Arts & Crafts bands a lot. As the tale goes, Vale, along with Dave Newfeld (BSS producer), got roughed up by the cops in NYC for trying to score pot in a park. He's an interesting guy.1manguy, October 17, 2005 2:49:32 AM CEST
the original Mushaboom video is excellent. she's a great performer and she's all about workin' that red shawl.nicod, October 17, 2005 4:34:38 AM CEST
you can't even compare this awesome video with the first one. different ball parks.captainmarc22, October 17, 2005 8:48:01 AM CEST
this was very charming.I found the intro "singalong" pretty annoying. It added nothing and went on too long.
The musical dance scene felt like a shot by shot remake of Bjork/Jonze "it's oh so quiet"
The carousel horse was great.
I too read the pitch as Mary Poppins but guess it's not realistic to imagine a fullblown Mary Poppins parody.
The scene where she comes out of the box - what is that from? I know I've seen that somewhere.... some movie where I guy is dumped in a field in some kind of suitcase...

suitcase in field = "blanc"?anyway, i liked this video okay. i like some of the specific ideas like the toast and the flying and the plant and shit, BUT i really wish it had some sort of more solid unifying concept. while it was okay to watch once, that would have made it perhaps a fondly remembered classic.
the other video was strangely more cohesive, in that it had a clearer visual concept. however, unlike the patrick daughters one the visual concept is not that interesting. i couldn't watch the whole thing without getting bored.
i think a great video is somewhere in between these two.
