People in Planes - "If You Talk Too Much (My Head Will Explode)" - directed by Ben Foley
People in Planes recently finished shooting their new video with critically-acclaimed actor Joaquin Phoenix. Phoenix directed the shoot for "If You Talk Too Much (My Head Will Explode)" at the Ontario, California International Airport.

It says on the Collision Films site that it was directed by Ben Foley for Collision Films
I think everyone almost got this vid....I'm dying to see what it came out like.
Nice song, really good. Fucking terrible video. The WMP and RP links you give are for the first attempt at a video for this song, which was indeed directed by Collision. I've said it once and I will say it again, big old pile of shite.
lighting is really bad. what was the concept? why is the first half so boring and irritating?

Hmm... is this a super-rough? like the digiroll? the quality looks horrible and inconsistent for the most part, theres some nice looking 16-mm clips, but slap between the digital looks messy. The 16mm sort of unbalanced with lots a high-end reds...has a lot of character...

...and to add on the subject of Captain marc and lighting, the lighting looks super home rigged, with straight gels... I am guessing this is they're intentions, like to make a parody of low-end promos, the video had a b movie feel, and b movies are usually low budget.. so i am guessing this was all done with an idea in mind, and as of this cut its not really working to the pieces advantage, but a lot of times great promos come together after correction and final edit and collision has some great stuff thats post heavy and in-camera heavy and thats all post... so i think there is still the chance that it could end up really cool.
