its very simple, vj stands for - visual jockey, like a dj u mix visuals to the music, its not a difficult concept to understand, i cant believe so many of you have no idea what it is, especially when i hear people confusing them with Mc's, crazy stuff! oh and rep1ay what u are doing is very similar to what i would expect from a pre pubesent spotty teenager, is that what you are, or do u just still have that mental age? and your comment was truely witty, perhaps you should use your talents to write more commical one worded peices of genious? or you could come to a site like this and make posts that are worthy of being read by people who actually like music videos and are interested in making comments about them rather than being a silly little boy. :)
Well, um, I'm not sure where you are but I'm pretty positive that you know what mtv is, and that on mtv they have these things called "vj"s which stands for "video jockeys". They are those assholes who introduce videos and stuff.
And the first time I even heard of this "visual jockey" thing was here in that hilarious pnderfskdlfjier thread. According to your definition, wouldn't any director be considered a "vj"?
you are so idescribably thick! right now you are on the internet, why dont you go find out about what they are! yes they are like a director but its all live! do u understand yet? hmmm? yes in mtv they say that a video jockey is a person that introduces videos, but you dont have to beleive everything they tell you and you could find things out for yourself, right? mtv also says that the music they play is good, do u beleive that or have you never used the internet to find out about things they dont tell you? and no not any director would be considered a vj because they are sitting in a studio making music videos, not creating live performances, so do u understand now, or do u want to be an ignorant little boy for the rest of your life that argues with anyone that tells you something new? i have no problem with anyone on here, but for some reason you all seem to like making an argument out of nothing, only when it comes to me i think! so next time you make a stupid reply to a comment that was in no way insultive to you think about what you say and stupid it will make you look to anyone with half a brain. :) oh and if the first time you ever heard of video jockey's was on here you need to get out a bit more and see whats going on apart from in the sad sad world which is videos.antville!

Um, I did not realize that I was starting an argument. I was just trying to give cause for some of our confusion. Me referring to the mtv vjs as "assholes" I think sort of indicates that I do not like mtv or anything, so I'm not trying to disprove your vauge vj definition. I'm not a director or anything and have little to no experience in any sort of filmmaking, I just enjoy quality music videos, that's why I come here. The reason I didn't try to look up vjs on the internet is because frankly I don't really give a shit. You praising those silhouettes kicking around a cube was reason enough for me to take no interest in "vjing" at all. I was still confused on the subject and your comment here just reminded me of that, so I thought I'd ask you. Jeeze.
