I have made some subtle changes on the site. Here are the most important ones:

From now everything that is longer than 400px will not be displayed. This means, you see only the first 400px of a long URLs or a wide picture, but they won't lead to wide columns with unreadable texts.

The dropdown menu in the "post" form is gone. In the beginning, it was a good idea to file videos in some sort of directory. Meanwhile, we have 1068 topics. This made the whole concept unusable.

The authors can now easily disable comments for their stories. This is meant to be used ONLY if a story attracts too much attention like the infamous Gorillaz-Threads.

I hope these changes help to bring the site back on the right track. Cheers and keep on posting good stuff.

Kris, first off, thanks for an awesome site.

One idea which I've suggested before, and I figure you probably didn't implement because it was more trouble than it's worth, but I'll mention it again in case it's actually not hard to implement and you just missed it when I suggested it before:

Is there anyway for the "Recent Comments" thing to show "Recently updated threads" instead? Or, at least, for each Recent Comment to include the name of the thread? Looking at the current Recent Comment list as it is now, I see things like "Oh come on,..." and "This is about..." and "oh. I should..." but I think the name of the thread would be more helpful in figuring out if it's a comment I should look at it.

I hope I don't come across as complaining, since I always hate whiners who post remarks that boil down to "You make a great site available for free but you haven't yet tweaked it to my exact specifications. Waaaaah!" This is an awesome site, with or without that particular tweak. Thanks again.
