Spoon 'Sister Jack' Directed by Peter Simonette
...ouch.
So.....
How bad is it that this is actually one of Spoon's better videos? Except for maybe "Everything Hits At Once," especially for the 'Slacker' and future 'A Scanner Darkly' fans out there.
yeah this is terrible. Spoon is a great rock band and they look like a buncha dorks here. And in a bad way. The look and the concept seem straight out of 1995 - in a bad way.
"Everything Hits at Once" is awesome.
uhhh, boring!
Why are bands inexplicably drawn toward playing on rooftops? It's either there or the forest.
economics, duh.
and you forgot abandoned warehouse.
Dear everyone who has commented on this video,
I'm guessing all of you are either (1) under the age of 30 and/or (2) were never Clash fans. THIS VIDEO IS A TAKE-OFF OF THE "ROCK THE CASHBAH" VIDEO, which was shot in Austin, TX (where Spoon lives). Spoon visits many of the same spots as the Clash did. Many of the shots in "Sister Jack" are exact copies of "RTC", and the whole video, basically, a tribute to the Clash one.
Please Check out the Clash video and then watch this Spoon video. Then, please agree with me: BRILLIANT!!!!
dear over-the-age-of-30-clash-fan:
first of all, TRUST NOBODY OVER THE AGE OF THIRTY and second of all, we all love the clash and third of all, a tribute does not a good video make and fourth of all, everybody has seen the video for rock the casbah and it is stupid
