couldn't understand the masks but maybe that's cause they were polish. nice tanczyc, though.
it's actually quite an accomplishment to take such low-key, slickly color timed footage and not make the band look cool at all.
i actually found the band more interesting than the whole bear thing. it looks great.
the polish thing was done sort of as an homage to my neighborhood in toronto and the location we shot the video at, the 2nd corps polish legion hall. does it make sense? i don't know, but we thought it would add something and liked it. and the masks...i just like masks. as for the band buttercup: they are a fantastic band here in toronto that i hope more attention will come to. they have a self-released four song ep called 'we like accidents'. if you can find it, it's fantastic.
