Thats a bit Offtopic, but i want to know what is the best way to convert videos to mp4 movs. i tested a lot but nothing really works. i got same results with sorensen 3. I wonder that the "Blur" Video got such a great quality and its only 6 MB big, it´s 4 minutes long, and has a bitrate from 24 kb/sec. How this can be? videos.antville.org I try "Canopus Pro Coder", "Videora", "Quicktime Pro" but i never got such results. Which tools do you use for converting videos for the web?

I would use Quicktime Pro. You can convert it to H264 its really small then. To convert .mpgs to .movs if you have a Mac try MPEG Streamclip 1.5.1, good results

with "quicktime pro 6" i can´t select H264. I use now "Videora". Videora can´t convert uncompressed files, which sucks. But works fine with DV Files, divx files, etc. I can´t play convertet H264 files, but mp4 files. Thats okay. Filesize is fine. But at the beginning of the convertet clips the first frames looks green. It seems that some keyframes are missing. but i don´t know why.

It´s not only at the beginning. Also at the end when the clip turns black (fade to black) the clip show´s me frames from the part before. just like a green mate.

Try upgrading to QuickTime 7. Then you'll be able to use H.264, and it might fix your green keyframe problem.

Are you on a mac or a PC?

be careful with quicktime7, there s still a lot of people out there who use a 6.x version (like me, for instance ;-) and who can't upgrade (cause there's no QT7 for their OS …)

i´m on a PC. And yes. I got QT7, but then i got some video/sound "asynchronisation" in my files. QT7 played my old qicktime files (own, but also files from the internet) asynchron. So i removed QT7. If i got a new QT7 File i open it with the VLC Player.
