THE SUN "Lost at Home" Dir. Shawn M. Foster
from the DVD/Record "Blame it on the Youth"
i bought this dvd and its awesome. saw them play with shout out louds and had a blast. this is a good band
more bikes?
i don't get videos like this. is it just me or is this a really boring video?
the director must have been watching "the triplets of bellville" the night the treatment was due.
please refrain from mentioning this clip and that film in one sentence.
this is poop.
yeah i like the music the videos are whatevah.
but to their credit they made 14 videos, one for every song. I think that was the goal. but yeah...
i will say that the Justice video and the Romantic Death video and the Valentine video are pretty rad
Is there anywhere where you can see a list of directors who worked on this DVD project? I'm just curious as to the roster of directors and can't find in their press release, their website, their myspace page; anything about who they tapped other than Alex Nam for the Romantic Death piece.
And Alex's piece, cobbled together it may be from a website, but that's how you do a video with sex that's interesting.
hmmm...other than the liner notes of the record...not sure...
I know that Mike Kash did a couple...Shawn Foster did three or four...and anthony honn did one
I have the DVD so heres the list thats on it.
Must Be You: Shawn M. Foster Say Goodbye: George Kostovos Justice: PWR and Shawn M. Foster Romantic Death: Alex Nam 2B4: Mike Kash Lost At Home: Shawn M. Foster Waiting On High: Anthony Hann Rockstop: Autumn DeWilde We Tried: Mike Kash and Brian Szente Pavement Jive: Mike Kash These Heights: Justin Lowe and Holliganship Taking The Lord's Name In Vein: Brad Swiniarski Lose Your Money: Mike Kash Valentine: Shawn M. Foster and Michael Barnett
cough cough
Good song... Bland concept... And it looks like this Shawn M. Foster person just told the band to screw around for an hour or two and then he just edited the footage together. In other words, no direction at all. And why are so many guys in rock bands looking like Napoleon Dynamite these days? Where did they all come from? Between these guys and the Arcade Fire and Kings of Convenience, I've had enough.
if you go to www.thesunwebsite.com and click on dvd menu you can watch all the videos
sucks and blows, windy day.
honestly, i used to be like you guys..(hating every video I saw.....ie. MCG or even some of marcos siega)
..but you have NO IDEA WHAT goes into making a video.....at the end of the day if you have not gotten to the level of a spike or romanek or bayer.....you are only delivering product....it's so fucking sad but it's true
it is NEVER EASY
the guys that can keep in the game win...for better or worse, they win.....mr.artificial army, you should keep that in mind
just stay in the game
a constant battle
