MOVING ON : Dir. Albert Kodagolian
Short film from last year. Recieved some interesting press. Kodagolian was with Joy and is now signed to Believe. Telecine and all around cleanup by the Mill.
erm... why did you post this?
i think it's lusk's job to e-fellate the Mill for some reason.
Not a Music Video.
SALAD: There's a number of us that actually work in this business and it's helpful to know who did what and how (I personally find interest in knowing who did the telecine -- Mill, Rushes, CO3, Technicolor, etc). This is the second time I've mentioned the Mill and I will try and refrain from mentioning them (or any other house for that matter) as I've noticed it's become somewhat problematic for you.
KURSE/PROGOSK: No this is not a music video. And no I'm not the biggest fan of the piece. But it's made by a young up and comer and is stylish and professional enough to share.
Scroll down the recent antville page. A lot of the postings are just downright boring and I've always believed that a short now and then - especially a very professional one that's recieved good press - adds a nice little disruption to the site. Moreover, it helps keep this place progressive and open to new talent.
Come mid January, Sundance will be one of the first film festivals to stream all of their competing shorts online - and I find it foolish to not mention that to the antville community at that time as well.
If it does nothing for you, then so be it. But I've never felt that screening a short narrative and judging it appropriately would be harmful to those working on upcoming promos.
Well said. But still...
If everyone agrees, so be it. I'll post context of similar nature. If not, Music Vids.
k:)
you be settin' a ominous precedent. (may other boring posts inspire you to post a stylish, professional, young, up&coming and possibly disruptive music video next time, if it's not too much trouble...)
lusk- but make sure the mill does the telecine.
i don't have a problem with you being a fan of the mill. i just think it's funny, because i notice you always mention them.
oh, and let me THANK YOU for posting an exciting clip since everything else has been so boring --- WAIT, it's not a music video so don't post it!
if every person who thought the last posts were boring decided to post something that was not a music video, we would be the gorillaz fan forum!
Note to all you "regulars" that spend countless hours debating on here whether or not it's ok to post a non-music video. First, go get a girlfriend. Second, go outside and ride a bike. Then, please please go shoot something of your own. Stop worrying about your self invented silly bylaws of Antville. You don't own Antville. In fact, I would go as far as to say, Antville owns you.
Merry Christmas.
arrrrr pete, couldn't agree more. this little debate is fucking lame. i just can't believe no one has said anything more than "boring" to describe this cliched film school piece of shit. just because it's shot in scope and corrected to look like another dime store commercial it's "professional"? I can't imagine the kind of demons Albert Kodagolian carries on his shoulders, from nagging parents to annoying friends and a hot girl who refuses to fuck. Wow, the British bourgeois are just as fucking pathetic as the Americans.
You guys are all to serious, me too. Remember Music Vids = Fun. 'Nuff said
it's not a debate. people keep posting things that aren't music videos and then other people say "STOP".
message boards get ruined when people just post whatever comes into their heads w/o any thought to whether that is what everyone else wants to see.
I agree with John, This film is worse than boring, it's a total piece of shit. Looks like it was created by the rejects of a huggies commercial gone wrong.
I enjoy spacing out on antville just as much as anyone else, but please try not to protect it, it's pathetic. This site will die like netscape one day, and it's gonna be ok man, don't worry. You'll find something else to fill the empty spaces.
this film is not boring, you are boring. you go make some 'film school shit' and we'll see how it comes out. And you're so dumb you didn't even notice that the director and the writer are different people. you can't make films, you can be a film critic all you can do is sit behind your computer and write shit on some random blog.
