Micah P Hinson, Yard of Blonde Girls
pretty. i especially like the inkiness (texture & colours) of the outlined figures. only: the horse&cart was a little too flatly rotoshopped with respect to the nicely washed-out microcosm you created here. (thx for posting.)
yes. the horse is to flatly. But all in all a good job. I love the colours.
Which tools you have used. Sorry for asking once again, but I realy want to try to produce some videos by my self.
Thanks
there doesnt happen to be a jeff buckley vid for this song, does there? it is probably my favorite of his.
I have no idea if there is a vid for the original. This is off the Dream Brother album by the way. That horse will haunt me forever no doubt. Erm, tools? The usual suspects I'm afraid. There was a lot of Flash in this one though. I thought I had wriggled out of using that forerver.
Thanks for your comments.
I thought that was really incredible. Very subtle. Very beautiful. Very good adaptation of a folk song. I find it somewhat difficult to make videos for folk music but this worked wonderfully.
The only thing that I didn't like as much was the infusion of more computerish animation. I think it would have been better if it was more organic, hand-drawn stuff through out the whole thing. It would have taken longer to do, but it would have looked better I think. The wagon was just too different from everything else.
but besides that, fantastic job. I would love to see more of your work. do you have a website?

Point taken. It’s always tricky getting the 3D stuff to match the rest of the animation. We had little time to do this one, but the client was kind enough to give us some extra time to tart things up at the end. Thanks for taking the time to look. www.studioplum.co.uk
Very cool! Liked that a lot, including the horse&cart.
fwiw, reminded me of Tim Hope's I Walk the Earth.
