Four Tet "And Then Patterns" dir. Karni & Saul

windowlooker.
mov here
(thx biccam)
i liked the concept, but would have liked to see furniture in the window backgrounds... and the intro seq seems out of place. Tops though!
i LOVE the reel on their site. does anyone know anything more about these guys?
I think the idea was to build a oldfashioned zoo for humen. Not that kind of a safari theme park but a zoo with miserable cages with sad animals...Without plants etc..
A simple but brilliant realisation.
Four Tet is a solo-project of Kieran Hebden, a member of the postrock-band Fridge.
Kieran Hebden is wellknown for his remixes for artists such as The Cinematic Orchestra, Madvillain, The Notwist, Lars Hornveth, James Yorkston, Aphex Twin, Beth Orton, Radiohead, Boom Bip, David Holmes ...
thats super good. I reallly like that.
okapi i meant the directors. :)
Oh...I´m sorry. I think Four Tet ar wellknown in Europe.
they're just finishing off the video to nizlopi's "girls".
(you or me okapi?)
you? ;-)
also: you can also see lovely big qt mp4's of karni&saul's stuff at www.labasefilms.fr (crappy flash ui, though)
and: if you're in london on 23rd feb, they're doing a screening+talk at antenna nft.
How come this never got released as a video on the most recent Fourtet DVD/CD release? i really like the basic concept and sureal aesthetic of having all this stuff going on in the windows. Visually I think it works well, but it's just a bit too fashion to fit with Fourtets' music, or any slightly leftfield artist for that matter. All a bit Shoreditch, with a model knitting, and fat guy blowing up a rubber doll coz he's a fat bastard so noone will fuck him obviously.... hmmn, Nice video, brilliant track, but wrong video for that track.
That was great best I've seen in a while, cut well and very tactile visually, I understand what engles means by a bit too fashion, it didn't need the fat dude to have a blow up doll too cliche, really well done the comping looked good at that res would like to see full res.
