i thought it was great. there is nobody working in videos today with a better grasp of photography, set design and costume. ideas always strong too. bravo floria

         

Oh come on. Someone leveled the "pretentious" accusation at the Justice video. I don't think applies there, but to this? Yes. Very much. Technically uninspiring too.

And so it was. Well lit, but boring, and didn't seem to gel with the song.

         

cool! bits of that i really really like... kissing rock head couple, excellennt.

but feel like the modernist architecture gets pretty boring after a while... probably not helped by watching it small shit resolution (defocus shots eg are completely lost at that scale). kinda felt like rock head imagery could've been given more time to play out, less jump cutty (any point to that?), and less picture in picture. surely once it's set up as on a screen/projection, we don't need to see it each time?

but yeah, overall, i'd vote marginally less pretentious than Justice. only marginally. but who gives.

         

this is when geometry has a sense of irony: when squares don't appreciate de chirico's oval-shaped heads and right angles.

Well, I agree, "great" was maybe too much, and it can be a little bit boring but I find Floria's work very beautiful and... well... Pretentious ? Maybe, but anyway, I like it. She's got some nice ideas. I think I'll try to post every Floria video that's not on this site - if I can...
