“Attention” is the first single off of Charlie Puth’s second studio album following Nine Track Mind..

In the song, Charlie expresses his encounters with an ex-girlfriend who’s trying to tempt him to come back to her by playing with his emotions, though he knows she is just looking for attention and isn’t interested in a permanent relationship.

To promote this single, Puth opened an exhibit named “The Attention Room” on Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles which featured a LED infinity tunnel, further emphasizing the song’s theme of attention.
