so good. one of my favs this year. a cleaner color pass would have made it even better imo, but i can't argue about the technical achievement, super editing, beautiful narrative, and all around creativity. shit am even forgetting my grammar. oh and it's even got an emotional ark. aah yeeeah. this is money well spend.

this is by far my favorite daniels video. technically brilliant. epic. moving. D) all of the above.

my only comment (if anything really) is that i would like to see some of the more beautiful hand held shots a bit more steady, just so i can take it all in.

but what do i know? i make shit videos. epic win for daniels here.

         

Commendable and epic. My only criticism is that it's almost too 'gondryesque' - predictably so even. Reminds me of an emotional version of Gondry's Deadweight for Beck

As above i'd also like to see some longer, less shakey shots of some of the effects. It all becomes a bit of a blur after a while. I'd almost like to see Daniels calm down a bit and stop trying to cram a thousand moving shots and effects into the one video but I guess that's their style and maybe it's an ADHD generation thing. That said I'm a big fan of the air bag stomach, exploding woman and garbage bins. Although exploding garbage bins does remind me of Nima's L.E.S Artistes. Kind of like the performance from the kid.

         

There are pretty heavy post moves throughout. To my eye the shakiness is added to gloss over DIY-ness of it. A good way to go, I think. This is about as smooth as it could be without expensive motion control and CG. Content trumps slickness anyway.

The atmosphere is epic yet intimate. Nice edit, by the ways. Also I really like After Effects special effects. Fuck Gondry and great job, Daniel!
