Res like this video? Who would have thought!?! I'm finding Res so predictable recently. I mean, OF COURSE Res would like this clip. It fits so neatly into Res! Now!

         

Mud, very interesting comment on Res...I didn't realize that I was feeling that way too until you said that...very very interesting. Is Res growng stagnate? Are they too confined to production value and not to good Art? Whatever form that it may take? Are they leaning towards the mainstream/major label backed stuff a little too much? hmmmm....

         

Yes very graphic, very concept and very "clean". I think what saves the clip from bore are the chopped heads and body parts. They are almost critizing the shitty music they suppose to promote. But i think i'm starting to lusk here. ehe.

         

What's happening with res? its the second time i see people complaining about them. Are you talking about the magazine or the festival? the other complains were more about too much indie films in the dvds.

         

I don't actually have too many complaints about Res, normally it's pretty great...but it's good to keep an eye on them...success often breeds mediocrity...

         

Res is great. I just feel that they too often get suckerpunched by pretty, soulless work. (Daniel Askill? Or for that matter, Daniel Levi?)

It becomes less about what is new and fresh and more about what fits a particular genre, which was previously associated with new and fresh.

On another note, have you seen Askill's short for the panasonic olympic promo? One trick pony!

         

Askill is overated IMO.
