QUIO with "so dazed, director: CHRISTINE LANG, camera: RASMUS SIEVERS, production: HFF and KHM, video edit audio AGF
This is BIG!!!
playful & funny! mark as fave
very fun - I liked it - Quio's normally a rapper?
And Christine Lang is a DJ? Definitely a March fave. Makes me feel like "Venus as a Boy"
erm.. this had four or five good ideas/shots (toast, spoons, cereal in lamp, was it only three?), and the rest seemed really clumsy/confused given the opportunity. poor editorial choices, awkward styling, uninspired camerawork. i'm sorry, maybe it's cause it's monday, but this could've been great fun, and unfortunately it really isn't.
Yes. Christine Lang is a DJ and a Student at the Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln (Colongne).
But never heard bevore.
This one ain't meant to be overthought, p. This one's meant for the relaxed mind. The last shot and singing at beginning were off-putting, however, to be picky.
uh yeah all i saw was stuff i'd seen before.... "Venus as a Boy" (Bjork's weakest early videos?); the toast on the wall was exactly like the Peter Licht video (okay an obscure reference but enough for me to give this a "meh").
Not to mention the rotating room is SO PLAYED OUT!!! The Foo Fighters just did it for the umpeteenth time!! Enough!
Ack! Quick, you're over-thinking it! It bursts when you do that, but it's enjoyable and nicely-executed and gives me a nice fresh feeling, for what it's worth.
Anyway, that's all I care to defend it..
I agree with Progsk, didn't live up to its potential, but still is better than most vids out there so cudos...I think rotating the camera to her p.o.v. kills the magic instead of keeping the frame seemingly right side up at all times...unless it was at a faster pace and more was happening...just a thought.
definitely one of the more interesting videos posted on this site. So what if you've seen a lionel richie video or 2. It's still a cool effect.
Cool effect, but hidden in a painfully obvious way at times. Would've been nice if they'd worked with it to suspend disbelief a bit more (string her skirt so they could do a proper long shot from the wall or ceiling, work with the water in the sink, etc. etc.) When something has been done so many times, and I know how it's done, these things start creeping into my thoughts as I'm watching.
Can someone post some exampels?
I am not an expert and can´t say so much about editing and camerawork. So I can take the video how it is and not how it maybe could be better.
All in all I agree with kevathens. It makes me feel good when I am watching it. It fits with the music and the lyrics (to go up to the wall) very well, without pushing to much to the front.
The video was realised by some Students from Potsdamm and Cologne (maybe with a very small budget). I think is a very good start for this guys...This work stands out of the flood of stop-motion and animation clips.
But OK. Maybe it is sometimes to static. Some dust bunnies in the citchen would not harm.
I love how on the case antville can be.
