Now, MTV voted this one of the best music videos of all time, and I heartily agree. Everything about the video is great! My favorite thing about the video is how it was directed. Also, this song is one of my favorite songs.

Well, I respect your opinion, but for an organization to say that it's like a move to be as politically correct as possible. Claiming this one to be the best is like saying a song by Poison or Franz Ferdinand is the best piece of music ever written. Maybe the greatest or the most popular, I'll give it that.
To be the best music video would have to mean that it transmits a message that is so powerful that a vast majority of the human race can relate to it and see themselves in it. Technical proficiency can be ruled out, everything that music videos have done was already done in one way or another by the russian filmmakers in the thirties.

pizzaguy, what is it about the direction you like so much? don't get me wrong, this is a great video, but it's the band and the song that makes this one. the direction is almost nonexistent. the band played the song and they covered it with a bunch of 16mm cameras, it's as basic as it gets.
