Wow, this is one bad video. The reason that it's bad is because it's very unoriginal and repetitive. All it shows is Shakira shaking her booty and dancing in front of a green screen and in a pile of mud. It's probably one of her worst videos. I have to admit, I like this video. Nothing happens, the song is laughable, the mountain at the end is some astonishingly cheesy CG. But I remember watching this many times back in 2002 and thinking there was something delicious about that way the color was tweaked. I am looking forward to happening across this jarring anachronism in 15 years or so, and being reminded of that time.

Seems like most on this particular website do not work in this business or have an idea of commercial art or working inside a business.

When I'm presented with a video, I attempt to portray a feeling but I also know I must entertain an audience, a fact lost to this board. Shakira isn't your cup of tea I assume but to millions of others she is.

Some positivity on here might let some serious insiders take you more seriously. Criticizing out of a college dorm with no real world experience is pathetic.

         

I've read Francis' writing before, and that doesn't read anything like it. fwiw

         

Besides, Francis is one of the few bigtime pop music directors we consistently praise here.
