Okkervil River "It Ends With A Fall", dir. Will Sheff
1 video ÷ 3 ideas = dissatisfaction. (some interesting bits, nontheless.)

i agree. its too bad this video isnt 3 videos (or 2, the live footage is uninteresting). The still figures/moving camera section is really great, and could be developed into something. Likewise, the crafty, cutout boat parts are wonderful and I would love to see where it can go.
thx for coming up with this one! actually, i don't mind the several-ideas-in-one too much, the more, the merrier. the last scene & the live bits are a bit redundant though, okay ... looking forward to seeing them play next month!
you've got some great moments in here (the bottle and the spyglass being one of my favorite). personally, the idealistic resolutions of the first section made me cringe. it does not need to be resolved, to me it offered a touch of how everything seems to stop whenever something particularly traumatic happens. the counterbalance to that doesn't make any sense in this fashion. the boat is nice, the live footage was painful (seriously, cut it out...we live in your fanstasies, and to show the band rips us out of your videos like being shaken awake from a nice dream. You've got some great things going on here, though I'm not sure the length will support them all. if it were just short enough to get the idea, and to leave us with something thought rhetorical or thought provoking, it would fit the style very very well. Overall, I like the direction, KEEP GOING!!
