So I'm sure many of you already know about this, but I did not. So this post is for the others like me. Since mtv.com has kindly disabled all video viewing on apple computers (fuck you very much), it's become a lot harder to quickly find a video you want to see. Now I have always hated AOL and anyone that still insists on having an account there. Why must I constantly hear over and over "oh I can't open that attachment, it must be my aol acting up"? Is aol like herpes? That being said, turns out aol has actually done something socially redeeming and worthwhile for mankind. At the above link you will find a wide selection of videos, neatly cataloged, that work on pc AND mac, and here is the clincher... all in beautiful glorious quicktime. some of the insert footage feels a little mid-90s, but it's a pretty good performance video. also, it's a rare treat these days to see a video hold a single shot for 43 seconds.
iTunes Music Store selling videos through iTunes 4.8
can anyone please clarify? are they trying to sell the actual music videos or some other "special" videos? (the thievery warning shots vid seems to be the same that you can get from the music videos section, only encoded sorenson 3 instead of mp4)
will we no longer be able to save the videos that load from the "music videos" section via tools such as iGetMovies? (some say spotlight doesn't find invisible files...)
i've got iTunes 4.7.1 and everything still seems to be working like before - only, though i see the videos for sale, i don't get a preview (can't try buying since i'm not in the u.s.)

though a little diplomatic, this article sheds a little insight on the not-quite-good-enough video twist gondry did for hot hot heat. turns out the 'done so well it looks like after effects' was actually after effects!
